Vyper Dragon

One of the most fearsome dragons discovered by the Rivers Herbalists, the Vyper dragon is associated with danger and mystery. Much like snakes, these dragons have a special ability that allows them to spit venom and deliver fatal bites. Vyper Dragon eggs are covered in vivid green, purple, and black hues, indicating the presence of dangerous substances. Vyper Dragon eggs are safe to handle, venom develops in adolescence.

Appearance

The Vyper Dragon is sleek, serpentine and is coated in venom. Its scales are glossy shades of purple, black, and bright green resembling toxins. The Vyper Dragon eggs are safe to handle, venom develops in adolescence.

Diet

The Vyper Dragon is an omnivore, favoring fruits growing in caves and certain mushrooms. Often a scavenger and avoiding prolonged confrontation, the Vyper dragon uses its speed and intelligence to outsmart an unfortunate prey or target.The Vyper dragon will steal from other dragons, fishermen, stores, and are considered a nuisance around farmers markets.

Special Abilities

A Vyper Dragon's fangs are coated with a venom that can be harvested for use in potions and remedies. A trickster, the Vyper dragon has been reported to speedily steal items like gems, gold, and other shiny materials from fisherman, coastal towns, and unlucky adventures.

Habitat

Vyper Dragons are found in areas with high levels of toxins, poisons, and flora; such as swamps, bogs, and other areas with polluted water or air. They are known to inhabit areas with abundant plant life that contain poisonous properties, fungi, and moss. Vyper dragons have recently been spotted around human facilities, where waste is deposited into the oceans or waterways.

Caring for a Dragon Egg
  • The Dragons will remain in their armored eggshell for many years, we have not yet discovered the hatching timeline.

  • In order to take the best care of one of our Dragon Eggs, Display upright in a stand like Crystal spheres, or in a safe place away from high edges it could fall off.

  • Not recommended to store in humid environments, like showers or bathrooms. Not recommended for hot direct sunny spots, some color vibrancy may fade overtime when exposed to direct sunlight, and/or (some) eggs may become tacky or sticky.

  • Metal armored egg shells are NOT microwave safe or oven safe.

Vyper Dragons are highly aggressive and territorial, known for their cunning and devious behavior. Solitary creatures that prefer to be alone and will attack any other creature that invades its territory. Vyper Dragons can communicate with each other using a series of hisses, growls, and vocalizations similar to common felines. Vyper dragons and other dragons: Vyper Dragons are likely to be feared and avoided by other dragons, as their venom can be toxic. A Vyper dragon may use its toxic breath or claws to incapacitate prey. A Vyper Dragon can also use its poisonous nature as a defense mechanism if it feels threatened. Other dragons may try to stay out of the poison dragon's territory and avoid contact when possible. Amanita Dragons and Vyper Dragons have a natural affinity for each other, as Vyper dragons may use Amanita dragons to create new toxins. However, if the Amanita dragon is not careful, it may be poisoned by the Vyper's venomous breath.
