The Amanita Dragon is peculiar, with a body that resembles the Amanita Muscaria Mushroom. This Dragon is highly sought after and befriended by Herbalists and naturalists for their aid in potion and remedy making. With brightly colored Red scales speckled with white, this rarity is elusive.

Appearance

The Amanita Dragon is peculiar, with a body that resembles a frog and imitates brightly colored Amanita Muscaria Mushroom. The hoof like limbs are often textured with bumps and grooves with smaller mushrooms often growing. The Amanita Dragon's most distinctive feature is the bright colors, polka dot or speckled patterns, resembling a variety of mushroom species.

Diet

The Amanita Dragon are primarily herbivorous, and feed on decaying plant matter and various types of fungi. They are also known to use their unique properties to create their own food, using photosynthesis to convert sunlight into energy.

Special Abilities

Amanita Dragons have the unique ability to produce a variety of chemical compounds from their cap and stem, some of which are toxic to other creatures. The Amanita Dragon is highly sought after and befriended by Herbalists and naturalists for their aid in potion and remedy making. They also have the ability to control the growth of other mushrooms and fungi, and can use this to their advantage when searching for food or crating a safe environment.

Habitat

The Amanita Dragon are found in lush shady environments, such as forests or overgrown caverns. They are often seen perched on top of other mushrooms or fungi, using their flexible wings to sway in the wind and catch the spores. While usually solitary creatures, once befriended their loyalty remains and in times of need, Amanita Dragons can become a protector to their human friend. Befriended Amanita Dragons will often make a home around thriving gardens or apothecaries close to their humans.

Caring for a Dragon Egg
  • The Dragons will remain in their armored eggshell for many years, we have not yet discovered the hatching timeline.

  • In order to take the best care of one of our Dragon Eggs, Display upright in a stand like Crystal spheres, or in a safe place away from high edges it could fall off.

  • Not recommended to store in humid environments, like showers or bathrooms. Not recommended for hot direct sunny spots, some color vibrancy may fade overtime when exposed to direct sunlight, and/or (some) eggs may become tacky or sticky.

  • Metal armored egg shells are NOT microwave safe or oven safe.

The Amanita Dragon are quite solitary creatures, spending most of their time in quiet contemplation of their surroundings. They are relatively slow-moving, and are often mistaken for ordinary mushrooms by unwary travelers. Often perched on top of other mushrooms or fungi, the Amanita Dragons can camouflage easily. When threatened, they emit a spore cloud that can disorient their enemies, allowing the Amanita Dragon to escape. Amanita Dragons and Flora Dragons could have a mutually beneficial relationship. As Amanita dragons can fertilize and protect the plants that flora dragons rely on. However, if an Amanita Dragon were to release spores that are harmful to the flora dragon, it could result in sickness or disorientation. Amanita Dragons and Vyper Dragons have a natural affinity for each other, as Vyper dragons may use an Amanita dragon to create new toxins. However, if the Amanita dragon is not careful, it may be poisoned by the Vyper's venomous breath.
