About the Frost Dragon

Appearance

Shimmering in hues of white and blue, reminiscent of ice and snow. Frost Dragons are rarely seen by folks besides mountain climbers and arctic residents. Their camouflage makes it difficult to spot while flying.

Diet

The Frost Dragons are carnivores, and will eat almost anything, including fish, seals, and other creatures adapted to the cold. They particularly enjoy prey that is slowed down by the cold, and have been known to use their icy breath to immobilize prey. Frost Dragons have been observed storing food in frozen caves, which they mark with their own scents and return often.

Special Abilities

Frost Dragons are known for their icy breath, which can freeze even the most resilient organic materials. They have a remarkable ability to control the direction and intensity of their icy breath, allowing them to use it as a tool or defensively. Adventurers that have witnessed combat with a Frost dragon have the ability to manipulate the weather within a locally affected area. This may make them incredibly powerful and potentially dangerous. Frost dragons are capable of absorbing and storing cold from their surroundings, making them resilient to extremely cold temperatures.

Habitat

The Frost Dragons prefer frigid environments, often found in regions with constant snow and ice, such as arctic tundras or mountaintops.

They can be found near caves or underground tunnels with a steady source of cold. Often seen around glacier-fed rivers, lakes, and icebergs.

Behaviors
Caring for a Dragon Egg
  • The Dragons will remain in their armored eggshell for many years, we have not yet discovered the hatching timeline.

  • In order to take the best care of one of our Dragon Eggs, Display upright in a stand like Crystal spheres, or in a safe place away from high edges it could fall off.

  • Not recommended to store in humid environments, like showers or bathrooms. Not recommended for hot direct sunny spots, some color vibrancy may fade overtime when exposed to direct sunlight, and/or (some) eggs may become tacky or sticky.

  • Metal armored egg shells are NOT microwave safe or oven safe.

Frost Dragons are known for their reserved and stoic nature, preferring solitude over social interactions. These dragons are highly intelligent and strategic, able to plan and execute complex hunting and defensive strategies. Frost Dragons can be fiercely territorial, and will defend their territory from other dragons with their sharp claws and icy breath. A Frost Dragon's favorite pastime is sunbathing, although they prefer to do so in the reflected light off of ice. Frost Dragons and Kindling Dragons are likely to be natural enemies, as their elements are opposite and incompatible. A confrontation between the two could be explosive, with the fire dragon's flames melting the Frost Dragon's breath, and the Frost dragon's cold freezing the Kindling dragon's breath. Frost and Ultramarine Dragons, these dragons have a natural alliance, as Frost dragons can help create more ice for the Ultramarine dragon's domain. However, if a Frost dragon is too powerful, it may freeze an Ultramarine dragon's habitat, making it difficult for the Ultramarine dragon to move or hunt.
